This Is Your Life...
Are You Who You Want To Be?

You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives. Genesis 50:20 NIV

Three Things We Can Learn From Joseph

1. Disappointments are a part of life.

...In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration...” (John 16:33a AMP)

Look at Joseph:

A. He shared his God given dream to his brothers...they sold him as a slave.

B. He resisted temptation by a married women...he was thrown in jail.

C. He saved a man's life by helping him out...the man forgot about him.

2. God is still in Control.

...but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.]” (John 16:33b AMP)

"I am the LORD, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?” (Jeremiah 32:27 NIV)

We can't blame a life out of control on God if we are not allowing Him to have control of it.

3. Our approach to life Determines how we live it.

Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.” (James 1:2-4 NIV)

Your quality of life is determined not by what life brings to you, but by the attitude you have towards life. It is not your POSITION but your DISPOSITION that matters.

How To Get The Life You Want

We Must Learn To Let Go and Let God!!

Unto you, O Lord, do I bring my life. O my God, I trust, lean on, rely on, and am confident in you... let none who trust and wait hopefully and look for you be put to shame or be disappointed... show me your ways, O Lord; teach me your paths. Guide me in your truth and faithfulness and teach me... for you do I wait all day long." (Psalm 25: 1,2,5 AMP)

Four ways to Achieve This.

1. Trust Him

2. Lean on Him

3. Rely on Him

4. Be Confident in Him
