I Need A Real Friend
There are times in each person’s life when real friends are needed. All around us are those that need a friend, those that could have been a friend in a real time of need but were not, and those who will be a true friend when the time comes. What a friend we have in Jesus!
I Need A Real Friend
Luke 10:30 - 37
Luke records a conversation that shows the effort a real friend will go to help someone in trouble.
"Which of these three do you think was a neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of robbers?" The expert in the law replied, "The one who had mercy on him." Jesus told him, "Go and do likewise." Luke 10:30 – 37 NIV
A real friend offered to fight a giant for King David in 2 Samuel 21:15-17.
But Abishai son of Zeruiah came to David's rescue; he struck the Philistine down and killed him. Then David's men swore to him, saying, "Never again will you go out with us to battle, so that the lamp of Israel will not be extinguished." 2 Samuel 21:17 NIV
