Introducing the New Series
IGNITE: BE ALL THAT YOU CAN BE
What change would come into your life if you really believed that God is who He says and can be fully trusted? Would it affect your relationships, finances, family, and career? Over the next few weeks we will look at ways God ignites faith. Your faith is the lens through which you view life. The power of association is great and may change your view of God. God calls us to be people of great faith. This series will show truths God uses to ignite faith.

Genesis 1:26-27 & 3:8-10
Story of a dog needing people.
It is not good that man should be alone. Genesis 2:18
I. GOD'S DESIGN
And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: Genesis 1:26a
God created man to extend and multiply the beauty of His relationship and experience the power of love.
Twice, John says that God is love (1 John 4:8; 4:16)
Love is a relational characteristic therefore God must have been in an eternal relationship.
God created humanity for a relationship with Him and with others.
II. SIN'S DISASTER
The result of sin was man and woman was cast out of the Garden of Eden. The intimate level of relationship they had enjoyed with God was gone.
Even after disobeying and sinning against God, God didn't give up on us, He had a plan for our restoration.
Through a sacrificial system in which the innocent dies for the guilty, God provided a means for some measure of relationship with man.
III. THE HUMAN DILEMMA
My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: 1 John 2:1 KJV
When humans sin we run from Him but He never turns His back on us
Humanity suffers enormous loneliness. Apart from God that longing is never filled nothing can take God’s place.
"I look at all the lonely people. Where do they all come from? I look at all the lonely people. Where do they all belong?" Eleanor Rigby
“What a friend we have in Jesus, all our sins and griefs to bear! What a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer!
O what peace we often forfeit, O what needless pain we bear, all because we do not carry everything to God in prayer.” Joseph M. Scriven
Restoration is possible by an old rugged cross.
