Lead Pastor

Pastor Mark Whitfield became the Lead Pastor here at Pikeville Church in 2011. Pastor Mark is driven by the Great Commission of Christ to “MAKE DISCIPLES”; seeking to help others become engaged, equipped and encouraged by God’s Word (Proverbs 3; Romans 15:4)

“For us to be Disciple Makers, we have to be purposeful and passionate about:

SEEKING CONNECTION with God through his Word….

SERVING OTHERS with our spiritual gifts, life experiences and opportunities….

SAVING LIVES for the glory of God.”  – Pastor Mark

Pastor Mark is a graduate of Emmanuel College (1990) and of Erskine Theological Seminary (1993). He and his wife Tracy have been married since 1997 and have two daughters, Taylor and Kristen. Pastor Mark enjoys spending time with his family; as well as farming, hunting, fishing and sports.

Youth Pastor

I am honored to be serving God, Pikeville Church, and this community. I officially came on staff as the Youth Pastor in February 2013. My wife, Lisa and I have a passion for building relationships with our students and their families.

Lisa and I were married in 2008. Her two children, Brooke and Brady, and my son, Mikey make up our beautifully blended family. We have two dogs, Lily and Miley, and we love to spend time together as a family. We enjoy traveling, watching movies, and playing games together. I graduated from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity, Colorado Technical University with an MBA and BS in Accounting, and received a Teaching License from East Carolina University. I spent over ten years in the Air Force and Army National Guard and have taught various Business and Special Education Classes in local public schools. I currently own and operate two sweetFrog premium frozen yogurt shops in my spare time.

Worship Pastor

When I began to play guitar at the age of 12, I quickly came to the realization that I could do one of two things… use it for God, or use it against Him. From that, I truly believed that God was calling me into ministry.

Over the last few years, I have served the calling on my life through various avenues and opportunities musically.

Through these outlets, God lit a fire in me to begin preparing for this next step. With renewed vigor and with careful prayer, I took this step and joined the Pikeville Church family.

I have been married to my lovely wife Rylee, since September 17, 2016. She is an incredible blessing to me, supporting me in whatever God leads me to do. Where I dream, she aids me in planning, proving how God steps in where we are weak.

We are excited, and we look forward to Serving and Worshipping our God Together!

Office Manager

When I began this staff position in January 2004, I knew that God opened this window of opportunity for me to serve.  My heart’s desire is to glorify God through everything that I do. I am very passionate about giving my best to this ministry …supporting our pastor, the leadership, and the church body. It is truly an honor, and my pleasure, to serve the Pikeville Church family.
